About OweScout
Clarity first. Pressure and promises stay out.
OweScout exists because collection accounts create scattered records, uncertain dates, and too many decisions at once. The product creates a calm workspace for information you choose to organize.
Built to replace avoidance with a workable record
A credit report, collection letter, medical bill, payment receipt, and phone note may all describe different pieces of one account. OweScout helps people keep those pieces together without pretending a software product can decide disputed facts or choose the right legal or financial action for them.
The organizing unit is a mission: one account or recovery objective with its own details, notes, timeline, documents, payment history, and plan. A separate Recovery Fund ledger can record amounts a user has personally designated, but OweScout never holds or transfers that money.
Privacy is a product boundary, not a slogan
In the web application, supported credit reports are read locally in the browser. The original report and full extracted text are not uploaded or retained. Users review extracted candidates and choose what to save. Private workspace records are scoped to the signed-in account, and OweScout does not sell financial information.
Good privacy also requires restraint from the user: redact unrelated identifiers when appropriate, use strong device and account security, and share only the information a recipient genuinely needs.
What OweScout does not claim to be
- It is not a debt-settlement or debt-relief company.
- It does not negotiate with creditors or collectors.
- It is not a credit-repair organization.
- It does not guarantee deletion, score changes, or payment outcomes.
- It is not a law firm, bank, lender, or financial adviser.
Those boundaries matter. When a lawsuit, limitation period, identity theft, tax issue, insurance appeal, or complex budget is involved, the right next step may be a consumer attorney, legal-aid office, tax professional, insurer, medical billing advocate, or vetted nonprofit credit counselor.
Who operates OweScout
OweScout is operated by Carr Identity Group LLC. Questions about the product, account access, privacy, or store purchases can be sent to dcarr@carridentitygroup.com. Do not email passwords, full credit reports, Social Security numbers, or payment-card numbers.
Start with one account and one honest next step.
OweScout gives you a place to do the organizing. The decisions remain yours.
