TERMS OF USE
Use OweScout as your organization workspace.
Effective August 4, 2026
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Carr Identity Group LLC, which operates OweScout. By creating an account or using OweScout, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
1. What OweScout provides
OweScout provides self-directed tools for organizing collection accounts, documents, activities, reminders, payment records, plans, and savings goals. It may help you prepare and track your own actions, but it does not contact collectors or credit bureaus for you.
2. Not legal, financial, tax, or credit-repair advice
OweScout is an organization tool, not a law firm, financial adviser, bank, lender, credit bureau, debt collector, or credit-repair organization. OweScout does not provide individualized legal, financial, tax, or credit advice; guarantee outcomes; negotiate debt; hold or move money; or submit disputes on your behalf. Laws, deadlines, account details, and creditor requirements vary. You are responsible for reviewing information, making decisions, and consulting a qualified professional when appropriate.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a contract.
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Create only your own account unless you are authorized to act for another person and may lawfully process their information.
- Notify dcarr@carridentitygroup.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of information and documents you submit. You grant OweScout a limited license to host, process, transmit, and back up that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that doing so does not violate law or another person's rights.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use OweScout for fraud, harassment, or any unlawful purpose.
- Upload malware or content you do not have the right to possess or process.
- Attempt to access another person's account, bypass security or purchase controls, scrape the service, or disrupt its operation.
- Reverse engineer OweScout except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Resell or commercially exploit the service without written permission.
6. Free and paid access
OweScout may provide a free level with one mission and offer paid access to additional missions or tools. The exact product, features, price, billing period, and any trial are shown before purchase and in the App Store or Google Play purchase sheet or web checkout. Features may differ by platform where store rules or technical capabilities require it.
7. Mobile purchases and subscriptions
- Purchases in the iOS app are processed by Apple, and purchases in the Android app are processed by Google Play, using the store account you choose. OweScout does not receive your full payment credentials.
- A monthly plan is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. Unless canceled, it automatically renews for the same period under the price and renewal terms shown by that store.
- You can manage or cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription through that store's account settings. Cancellation takes effect according to the store's displayed terms. Deleting your OweScout account does not itself cancel a store subscription.
- A lifetime plan, when offered, is a one-time non-consumable purchase providing OweScout premium access for the lifetime of the service, subject to these terms. It is not a recurring subscription.
- Use Restore Purchases in OweScout to recover eligible mobile-store entitlements on the same platform account.
- Apple and Google control billing and refunds for their respective stores. Request an eligible refund through the store that processed the purchase.
For the iOS app, these terms supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The Apple EULA controls if these terms conflict with it.
8. Web purchases
Web purchases are processed by Stripe under the price and terms shown at checkout. Web billing must be managed through OweScout's web billing portal or Support. The mobile apps do not direct you to purchase outside their platform stores.
9. Service changes and availability
OweScout may improve, add, remove, or discontinue features and may suspend access for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or a violation of these terms. Reasonable notice will be provided before a material paid-service change when practical. OweScout does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using OweScout at any time and may permanently delete your account in Account settings. OweScout may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these terms, threatens the service, or must be restricted by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OweScout is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or a guaranteed debt, credit, legal, or financial outcome. You remain responsible for verifying imported information, deadlines, balances, documents, and actions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OweScout and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, missed deadlines, or decisions made using the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
OweScout may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact
